Dr. Dawn Marie Lindblade, Assistant Professor at the University of Central Oklahoma, joined the faculty in the fall of 2011. She also teaches for Clarinet Pro Workshops with Executive Director, Julie Linder.

She has performed in such halls as Vienna's Schoenbrunn Palace, Dallas’ Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, and Detroit’s Max M. Fisher Music Center along with many universities and colleges throughout North America.


She is currently principal clarinet in the Edmond Chamber Orchestra. She has also performed with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic as well as with the Baton Rouge, Lansing, Jackson, and Sherman Symphony Orchestras.  Conference performances include the International Double Reed Society Conference, the International Horn Society Conference, The International Clarinet Association’s Clarinetfest, the University of Oklahoma Clarinet Symposium, College Music Society National and Regional Conferences, and the Society of Composers, Inc. National Conference.

An active chamber musician, she currently performs with the Lupine Trio with Hong Zhu, violin and Sallie Pollack, piano, and the Sugarfish Reed Trio with KaDee Bramlett, oboe and Lori Wooden, bassoon.


Dawn Marie previously taught the clarinet studio at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, La. Prior to that position she served as visiting professor of clarinet and chamber music at the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music. Dawn has also served on the faculty at Alma College in Alma, MI.

Dr. Lindblade studied with renowned pedagogues Dr. Elsa Ludewig-Verdehr, Dr. James Gillespie and Dr. Kimberly Cole-Luevano.

Dawn Marie Lindblade is a Selmer Paris/Conn Selmer artist and performs on Seles Présence clarinets. Dawn Marie is also a Performing Artist for D’Addario & Company and performs exclusively on Reserve and Reserve Classic reeds, and plays the Reserve clarinet mouthpiece (X15E).

Jennifer Rucker joined the UCO faculty as an adjunct clarinet instructor in the Fall of 2013. She has been principal clarinetist with the Oklahoma Community Orchestra since 1982. She is a frequent substitute for the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Orchestra, playing clarinet, bass clarinet and saxophone. In addition, Jennifer has competed in the International Clarinet Association’s “Clarinetfest” Orchestral Excerpt Competitions, where in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2010,  was chosen as a semifinalist,  and in 2007, won second place in Vancouver, B.C..


Jennifer earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Music Education degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma. She is a member of the Cimarron Wind Quintet, The Lyric Theatre Orchestra, the Pollard Theatre Orchestra and the American Federation of Musicians Local 375-703. She is also the adjunct clarinet instructor at Oklahoma Christian University and has a highly successful private clarinet studio at her home in Edmond.
